- Architect: KISHO KUROKAWA architect & associates
The Museum of Modern Art, Saitama opened amid the lush greenery of Kita-Urawa Park on November 3, 1982.
Known as MOMAS (The Museum of Modern Art, Saitama), it is the first art museum the architect Kurokawa Kisho designed.
In addition to displaying our collection of fine artworks from modern Western masters to contemporary Japanese artists, we also hold special exhibitions focusing on unique themes.
Adding children’s programs and opportunities for citizens to show their works, MOMAS is full of exciting ways for you to get closer and enjoy art.
